First ADCS line delivered and handed over to customers!

The first prototype line has been successfully handed over to a customer and is already producing hard-coated brake discs. In addition to the coating process, which consists of core equipment from our cooperation partner GTV Verschleißschutz, a grinding machine from our cooperation partner Supfina Grieshaber GmbH Co. KG was also integrated into the line.

The coating process:
The 22 kW laser of an ADCS system (Advanced Disc Coating System) gives the friction surface of the brake discs the desired material-specific properties with an additional powder supply. The measurement technology:
Using the ADCS-DI (Advanced Disc Coating System – Disc Inspector), the brake discs are measured and tested for characteristic and geometric specifications in the uncoated, coated and ground state. During the coating process, the layer thickness is spatially resolved and recorded for each layer. The team:
