On Wednesday, 09.02.2022, the four students Kai Osthoff, Michael Alzinger, Michael Knott and Patrick Ammer of the technical school for electrical engineering Straubing were allowed to present their project work at the Sturm-Gruppe.
The work on a group project with subsequent presentation is part of the training to become a state-certified technician. For the educational institution it was the first extracurricular project – the Sturm-Gruppe could immediately be won as a cooperation partner. The overall topic was “Planning of a training engine” with the purpose to create a perfect training environment for the future programmers. The students took on the role of project managers, i.e. they acted as an interface between the individual departments (hardware planning, electrics, mechanics), took care of drawing up concepts for the system functionality and were responsible for selecting the components used as well as for scheduling on their own responsibility.
Elmar Lanzinger, teacher of the State Technical School for Electrical Engineering and supervisor of the project, thanked the students for their commitment and successful work as well as for the support of the Sturm-Gruppe.
Martin Jakob, head of control technology and himself a former student of the technical school, accompanied the project on the part of Sturm from beginning to end and is very satisfied with the result of the work and the commitment of the technical school students.
We are all the more pleased that one of the team members, Michael Knott, will follow the technician training at the Sturm-Gruppe to become a PLC programmer.
We wish him and the other students all the best for their private and professional future!
You too can shape your career in mechanical and plant engineering!
